We are located in what once was Georgetown National Bank. The building was built in 1899 and originally housed a Funeral Parlor/Furniture Store. In the 1920's, Georgetown National Bank bought the building and installed the marble exterior and interior that still exists today. The bank remained in operation until the early 1960's. It has since been home to a credit bureau, food stamp office as well as many other offices, and finally an antique store up until 2002.
“ maintaining historical accuracy ”
The original marble floors and service counter, cork flooring, and teak wood with leaded etched glass have lasted for over 85 years! The Lock and Key work area exists behind the original tellers windows, maintaining the historical accuracy of the original Georgetown Bank. The bank's vault houses a multi ton steel and copper door which many visitors find to be of great interest.
